By tossing several ice cubes into the dryer with wrinkled laundry, you’ll end up with wrinkle-free, ready-to-wear clothes. The logic behind this is that the heat generated by the dryer will melt the ice cubes and flood the drum with steam during the cycle. This can turn your tumble dryer into a DIY steamer, which smoothes out creases and creates what appears to be freshly ‘ironed’ clothes that you can wear straight from the machine.
