Federal immigration agents created records containing photos, license plate information and other personal data on people observing ICE operations in Maine and stored them in a Palantir-built case management system, according to a partially unsealed federal court filing.
The filing, reported by WIRED, alleges that one Department of Homeland Security agent created records on at least six observers in ICE's Investigative Case Management system, or ICM. The government puts the number at eight. The agent allegedly labeled two people "Threat to Law Enforcement, Professional Protestor" and sent photos of observers to a Customs and Border Protection officer for facial recognition searches.
