NEW DELHI: Pakistan were stung by Afghanistan in a major upset defeat on Monday, which has put the 1992 champions in serious danger of bowing out of the race to the ICC World Cup semifinals, and formers players have pointed at team's poor fitness levels as one of the major reasons for their shoddy performance.
The eight-wicket hammering by Afghanistan was Pakistan's third straight defeat after starting their campaign with two back-to-back wins. But they lost the next three matches to India, Australia and the Afghans.
