MUMBAI: The elections of the Indian Cricketers Association are likely to take place from October 26-28. The polls are held online, which means that the virtual window will be open for 3 days for voting.
Currently, former India batsman and selector Ashok Malhotra is the president of ICA, with ex-India players Anshuman Gaekwad and Shantha Rangawasmy as the ICA representatives in the BCCI. However, Gaekwad just turned 70 and is thus not eligible to take up any post in the BCCI, and will thus not be able to contest for another term. "Malhotra wants to continue for another term, but a powerful section in the BCCI wants Gaekwad to be the new ICA president," a source told TOI.
