Liverpool will hope to build on their midweek Champions League romp at Rangers when they entertain Manchester City on Sunday.
The Reds welcome Pep Guardiola's champions having won only two of their first eight Premier League games this season. Jurgen Klopp put his players through their paces at Kirkby on Friday afternoon as they continue their preparations for the Anfield clash.
But what could be gleaned from the session?

Konate concern
Klopp had hinted during his pre-match press conference on Friday morning he was still waiting to discover who had come through unscathed from Wednesday's win at Ibrox.
And while the players were on their second day recovery after the game, Ibrahima Konate - substituted 11 minutes from time having made his first start of the campaign after a knee injury - was the only one of the 20 in the matchday squad to not be snapped out on the pitch at Kirkby.
Liverpool will hope any possible issue doesn't prevent the centre-back from lining up alongside Virgil van Dijk on Sunday, with Joe Gomez already fitting in at right-back and Joel Matip injured.
Duo continue
There was at least better news for two long-term Liverpool injury absentees.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, while ineligible for the Champions League group stage, had trained with the squad earlier in the week and was once again working on the pitch.
And Curtis Jones, who hasn't featured since the Community Shield, was also involved and earned a big hug from Klopp in the process.
No surprise comebacks
Any Liverpool supporter hoping for some surprise returns at the weekend will have been discouraged by the footage from Kirkby.
None of Naby Keita, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Matip - who are all expected to be back before the end of the month - were involved in the session.
Luis Diaz, meanwhile, won't be seen until after the World Cup as he begins his rehabilitation from a knee problem. Arthur Melo is out until the New Year and Calvin Ramsay. not on the bench in the last two games, also wasn't in the session.
Youngsters given chance
One of the many positives from having the under-21s and first team sharing the same training facility is readily providing opportunities for youngsters to train with their senior colleagues.
Stefan Bajcetic has benefited from such exposure and was again working alongside Klopp's squad, joined by teenager James Norris.
And, for the first time this season, Mateusz Musialowski - who has been hampered by niggling injury - was pictured in action with the first-team squad.
