Sidelined Ianis Hagi will need another two months to find his form again once he's back on the pitch claims his dad dad Gheorghe.
The playmaker underwent knee surgery after suffering an injury during the Ibrox side's Scottish Cup win over Stirling Albion in January.
Rangers later confirmed Hagi would miss the remainder of this season in a blow to manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
Former Barcelona and Real Madrid superstar Hagi Sr insists his son will be back stronger, but must be allowed to make a full recovery.
He said: "Ianis is good. He's very focussed on his recovery. He knows he was unlucky.
"He will learn from this and it will make him stronger. It's part of the game and the risk we all take as footballers.
"It happened at a bad time for him and even though he will be out for six months, he is in good spirits.
"He's doing a post-operative rehabilitation program with Rangers and he will be as good as new when he recovers.
"He's confident of a full recovery and I can tell you he's much stronger than I was when I was injured. He is 100 per cent professional.
"But although he will want to play immediately, he will need time to get back to his previous form.
"At Rangers, he has people who love him and care for him.
"But once he returns you have to give him two months to get back to top form I think."
