Leeds United will go into the final day knowing that they could be relegated back to the Championship after two seasons away. The Whites don't yet know their task, as Burnley and Everton have games-in-hand to play on Thursday.
Should Burnley lose, Leeds will only need to match Burnley's result on the final day to stay up. However, if Burnley take a point or more, they will need to better the Clarets on the final day to remain in the top flight.
Leeds have picked up 12 points under Jesse Marsch, which has taken them to 35 points, a total that would have been enough for safety in each of the last five seasons. However, former Arsenal and England striker Ian Wright has argued that Leeds would have been more likely to be safe, had Marcelo Bielsa been sacked and any new manager being given more time to guide the club to safety.
He said on his Wrighty's House podcast:
"I think they should have got rid of him [Bielsa] earlier, given someone time to really change. Simply because, whether it's Jesse Marsch or whoever it is, they needed time to really get that team playing in a different style. Bielsa has to get love for what he'd done for Leeds but it comes to a time where somebody has to make that decision."

However, Wright said that he hoped Leeds would remain in the division as the league 'needs' a club like the Whites. "Let's face it, I don't want to go with big club bias but Leeds need to be in the Premier League. They make it exciting. They should have done that earlier."
