Ian Huntley’s daughter speaks out after killer’s death in prison

• Soham murderer Ian Huntley died in hospital on Saturday after being attacked by an inmate at HMP Frankland.
• Huntley, 52, suffered severe brain trauma following the assault at the maximum-security prison on 26 February.
• His daughter, Samantha Bryan, expressed relief at his death, stating she was “over the moon” and suggested his ashes should be flushed down the toilet.
• Huntley was convicted of murdering 10-year-old schoolgirls Jessica Chapman and Holly Wells in Soham, Cambridgeshire, in 2002.
• Durham Constabulary is currently investigating the circumstances of his death, with a file being prepared for the Crown Prosecution Service.
