Ian Garry wants to bring the UFC back to Dublin after winning third fight in eight months with 'great' performance

Ian Garry continues to impress in the UFC and took his record in the promotion to 3-0 on Saturday night.

The Dubliner defeated Gabriel Green via unanimous decision to give him his third victory in just eight months since joining the promotion and took his overall MMA record to 10-0.

Garry again showed his slick striking as he landed numerous powerful and precise punches throughout the bout at UFC 276 in Las Vegas, earning the plaudits of many in the process.

UFC fighters Derek Brunson and Charles Rosa were among those to take to social media to praise the 24-year-old.

Brunson wrote: "Nice showing by Ian Garry . Ireland you have yourself a good 1!"

Rosa commented: "Ian Garry is sniper. Great fight."

Another Twitter user said: "Ian Garry is just a orthodox McGregor, I’ve never seen striking like this. So powerful. So precise. Clinch game unreal. Unparalleled. He’s welterweight champ by 2023 easily."

Someone else tweeted: "Ian Garry is far from a finished product, but he's showing good development. Give him some time and he's going to be a problem. A lot to build on."

Taking to social media himself after the fight, Garry simply wrote: "10-0 and Still Pretty."

And he wants to bring the UFC back to Dublin.

Speaking after the dominant win, Garry said: “I don’t see any reason to stop. I’m going to be continuing to grow and better myself in every regard.

“I want the UFC back in Dublin. I want to bring the UFC back to Dublin. The Irish fans deserve it, they have been absolutely amazing for me.

“I want to bring it back for them, they deserve it. They are the loudest fans in the world, and we have done so much in the sport that I think we deserve it at this stage.

“I’d like to bring it back.”
