Ian Blackford has attacked Labour over Brexit and accused the party of "betrayal" for accepting the result of the 2016 referendum.
The SNP leader at Westminster used a speech at the party's conference in Aberdeen to claim that leaving the European Union would "keep on biting" unless an independent Scotland rejoined in the future.
Blackford was the second senior Nationalist today to launch a stinging attack on Labour following a series of polls which show support for Keir Starmer's party has substantially increased in recent weeks.
Deputy leader Keith Brown had earlier told conference delegates that a Labour government at Westminster would not be an improvement on the Tories.
Blackford chose instead to focus on Europe and why Scotland should rejoin the Brussels bloc.
He said: "The damage of Brexit will keep on biting unless our country finds its way back to our rightful home in the European Union.
"When it comes to Brexit, I’m afraid I can only think of one sentence more ridiculous than the Tory’s ‘Get Brexit Done’.
"And that’s Labour’s new slogan - Make Brexit Work. Never before have so few words made so little sense.
"The complete conversion of the Labour Party to the Tory hard Brexit party is a betrayal of working people in Scotland and across the UK.
"And of course, that’s not all.
"As well as pledging their support for Brexit, Labour’s other big pledge is never to work with us in the SNP.
"The very same Labour party who only a few months ago made a string of backroom deals with the Tories.
"Just think about that for a second. A Labour party happy and hungry to do backroom deals with the Tories but who say they could never work with us.
"And why? Because we happen to believe in our nation’s independence."
