KOLKATA: A young BSF jawan who sustained severe injuries during an accident while patrolling the river bank of Jalangi in Murshidabad on Saturday evening, was airlifted by Indian Air Force while he was being brought to Kolkata for treatment, and admitted him to SSKM Hospital where his condition continued to be critical.
Constable Shabir Ahmad Wani of 141 battalion was injured on Saturday when a tractor fell on him at the bank of river Jalangi. He was rescued by locals and fellow officers but was bleeding severely from his head and mouth and was losing pulse.
