'I wish' - David Moyes details Manchester United regret after Sir Alex Ferguson recommendation

David Moyes has admitted that he wishes he was 'seven or eight years older' when he took on the Manchester United managerial role.

The Scottish tactician had big shoes to fill as he was selected by Sir Alex Ferguson to succeed him. Unfortunately for Moyes, he couldn't replicate Ferguson's glittering spell in charge and was sacked after 10 months.

Speaking to the High Performance podcast, the current West Ham boss said: "I've got some great thoughts about Manchester United. At that time, I had met probably three other of the top clubs either in England or in Europe who wanted me to become manager and in my mind, I wasn't leaving Everton.
