Sangareddy legislator T. Jayaprakash Reddy, who is known to make strong statements against the government and even his own party leaders, has said that he will be the Chief Minister in future.
However, he added that he would become the Chief Minister after 10 years and until that time, any leader in his party could pitch for the top post if Congress is voted to power. Addressing a massive gathering in Sangareddy as part of Dasara celebrations, which are organised with his support every year, he said the people of Sangareddy should decide whether they want to see him as the Chief Minister.
Popularly known as Jagga Reddy, he said Sangareddy and Jagga Reddy were the same and no other leader could match up to his service for the constituency. “It is my service that gets me votes and not any materialistic benefits that other parties try to woo the voters with,” he added.
The MLA also took strong objection to the action of local police recording his speech at Dasara celebrations and charged that some people were afraid of his popularity. “They want to report to the election authorities and stop my candidature If I speak anything wrong,” he alleged and warned that he would not tolerate such low level of politics.
70 seats for Cong.
Mr.Reddy said anti-incumbency against the BRS government was huge and was rapidly rising. “If Congress is hovering around the 50 to 55-seat mark today, it will reach 70-75 by polling date. “Anger against the government across sections is huge and rapidly increasing,” he claimed.
