I went to Primark's new second-hand section and the clothes were a fraction of the price

I visited Liverpool Primark’s new vintage clothing concession, Wornwell, this week.

Wornwell finally launched in Liverpool’s Primark earlier this month and I had to go and have a visit to see what pre-loved vintage staples I could find. Primark first partnered with Wornwell last summer in Primark stores across the country - and it has finally made its mark in the city.

Wornwell items are sourced from across the world and are handpicked for their uniqueness and quality. The stock contains 70s, 80s and 90s trends including items such as patterned shirts, dungarees, denim jackets, combats, trainers and much more.

Ricardo Seaton, founder of Wornwell, said it's a "very exciting partnership". He added: “To have vintage sitting alongside all of the other unique and individual departments Primark already have in-store is amazing.” Ricardo explained that vintage has been close to his heart for a number of years so "it’s great to turn a personal interest into a business".

Verdict:

Wornwell is located on the lower ground floor in Primark, in the men’s department, where it has its own section at near back. Initially, I didn’t think vintage clothing and Primark would go hand-in-hand but when I arrived, it added such a different vibe to Primark which I liked.

After having a look around, there is definitely more clothing for men rather than women. The women’s section was fairly small - ranging from dresses, jeans, tops, skirts and handbags.

The women’s clothing screamed ‘boho festival’ which I loved, you could pick up so many different festival items there knowing no one else would have them. Some of my favourite items were the tassel waistcoats, cargo skirts, midi printed skirts and Aztec stitched handbags.

I was impressed with the pricing of all of the items at Wornwell, for example most of the women's tops were priced at £20 along with the skirts and handbags which were £15.

The men’s items however, ranged from combats/cargos, shirts, t-shirts, gilets, jackets, football shirts and jeans. Most of the combats and gilets were Carhart (an American apparel company founded in 1889) and I absolutely loved them. They were both priced at £35/40 which is amazing value for money for Carhart items.

Overall, I think Wornwell adds something different to Primark and I can imagine it will attract many new customers into Primark and I will definitely visit again.
