I went to M&S and found three Nobody's Child summer dresses in gorgeous colours

It's no doubt that M&S isn't short of stunning summer dresses, there's so much choice!

One brand that never fails to disappoint, though, is Nobody's Child. After discovering the brand a few years ago, I haven't looked back since.

Worn by the likes of Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton (who even has her own edit with the brand) it's easy to see why M&S shoppers love Nobody's Child. Its flattering, timeless dresses offer a pop of colour to our wardrobe, and best of all, comfort.

I took a trip to M&S on Church Street to find myself some new summer dresses, and I ended up feeling spoilt for choice. There was so much to choose from in the Nobody's Child section, but three dresses in particular stood out to me the most.

I wanted to find some dresses that could easily be dressed up or down - here's how it went.

Rachel Midi Dress Opal Bloom Pink - £45

Let's talk about how stunning the print is on this dress, because I'm obsessed. I've noticed a lot of red and pink combinations on the high street recently, and I'm so here for it.

The clashing colours create a bold and vibrant dress that's bound to turn a few heads. I decided to go for a size 10 in this dress and was really happy with the overall fit.

It was so comfortable, and I really liked the sleeve detail. This dress could be transformed for a day to night look with a simple change of footwear.

On the Nobody's Child website, the full product description reads: "Rachel is back for another season in a pink and red floral print. Her signature oversized shape includes a swishy smock frame balanced by a tiered hem that’s endlessly easy to wear. Made from responsibly sourced viscose, the fabric also drapes like a dream. Balance the look with stompy espadrilles.

  • Round neck
  • Mid-length sleeves
  • Keyhole back button fastening"

The style of midi dress comes in a whopping ten different prints, so if you didn't like the one I chose you can take a look at some more here.

Green Brushstroke Daisy Midi Dress - £55

Although this dress was probably my least favourite out of the three in terms of fit, I still absoluely adored the pattern. I'm not entirely sure if the thinner, more figure hugging design was something that I'd usually go for, which might be why I wasn't 100% on this dress.

However, I think if I'd have sized up to a 12, it would've looked baggy, so I do think that the a size 10 was the best choice in this case. What really attracted me to this dress was the colour combination of green and purple.

Again, in true Nobody's Child fashion, the clashing colours really worked and added a bold and vibrant look to the dress. I really liked the cute sleeve detail, and the material was really soft making it a pleasure to wear.

On the Nobody's Child website, the full product description reads: "Ever feel like you were born in the wrong era? Throw it back to the 70s in our vintage-inspired Daisy dress. The green brushstroke print is a work of art in a responsible viscose blend. Slide into trainers now and undo a couple of buttons to add a leg-lengthening slit later.

  • Drop collar
  • Mid-length sleeves
  • Button front
  • Panelled waist"
  • The dress definitely has a retro design that isn't for everyone, but I really liked the brushstroke print. This style of dress comes in seven different prints - take a look at the £55 dress here.

Starlight Midi Dress Blue Gingham - £85

This was by far my favourite dress out of the three - and of course, the most expensive (typical!) I loved absolutely everything about this dress, from the vibrant blue shade to the cute puff sleeves.

I'll be honest, when I took this dress off the rail I wasn't expecting much as I'm not as massive lover of gingham, however, the fit made this dress perfect. It was so incredibly flattering, and the colour really surprised me.

I don't think I've ever owned an item of clothing in such a bold blue colour before, and I left asking myself why. It was absolutely stunning, and worked really well against my tan.

The dress was slightly low cut, which again, isn't for everyone, but I thought it looked stunning. The button detail was feminine and pretty and the dress fell beautifully.

On the Nobody's Child website, the full product description reads: "Made from pure cotton, this checked midi dress from Nobody's Child is ideal for balmy days. The button-through design is cut in a neat fitted style, with a v-shaped neckline. Gathering at the bust creates a flattering waisted silhouette, while short puff sleeves add an airy finish. Nobody’s Child designs are cut to a form-fitting shape, so if you're looking for a more relaxed fit, we recommend choosing the next size up."
