I went on a Nottingham staycation and fell back in love with the city

There's a lot to be said for a staycation. No passport panic, no baggage allowance and no lengthy delays at the airport.

There's no language barrier either if you don't count "ey up mi duck, jo wonn-owt? No map was required when we played tourists for two days in Nottingham. As long-standing residents, the well-trodden pavements around the city centre are all too familiar.

Barely a week goes by when we're not to-ing and fro-ing for work - but we never really get to see it through the eyes of the 11 million tourists who head to the city each year.
