Nigel Farage has revealed his home was firebombed as the Reform UK leader admitted: "There are huge dangers in this job."
Police investigated the incident but have yet to identify any suspects.
Mr Farage revealed the attack in an interview with The Telegraph on Wednesday.
“It was an outright arson attempt. I wasn’t at home at the time, but when I came back and opened the door I found the damage," he said.
"Luckily it had burned itself out in the porch, and we think maybe the perpetrators were disturbed in the act. The police were all over it. They did their best but there are no suspects so far.”
The petrol bomb attack happened early in 2025, shortly before a string of arson attacks on property linked to Sir Keir Starmer.
Mr Farage said he chose not to publicise it as he feared doing so would force him to ramp up his security.
Speaking on a campaign stop in Norfolk ahead of next week's local elections, Mr Farage said: “I’m acutely aware of the love for me, but equally the levels of antipathy that exist.
“Sometimes things happen when there are cameras there, but there are plenty of times when things don’t make the news, like pints of beer being thrown over me or the attack on my home.
“I also had to write off a car once because it was attacked by protesters when I was in it.
“I would rather not be discussing any of this but I am having to because someone has got hold of material about my private finances, which is outrageous, and which I believe was illegally obtained.”
Mr Farage was doused with milkshake thrown by an OnlyFans model during the general election campaign in 2024.

The Reform UK leader - who was elected MP for Clacton in the vote - was leavingthe Moon and Starfish Wetherspoon pub in Clacton-on-Sea on June 4 when he was attacked by Victoria Thomas Bowen.
