A woman on TikTok took her quest for love to the next level when she decided to hire a witch off of Etsy to cast a love spell over a guy she was “down bad” over. However, the witch’s response was not exactly what she was expecting.
So at this point we should know not to question the power of Etsy witches. Whether you believe in their arcane magic or not, plenty of people do and they are willing to pay good money to make use of their services. Tallulah Rose was one of these people and she hired a witch from the website to cast her magic on this guy.
Tallulah claims that the witch had rave reviews on Etsy and so she sent the money and proceeded to give the witch all the tea. Tallulah explained what had gone down between her and this guy and was expecting the witch to perform a ritual and maybe even send her some instructions on what she needed to do for the spell to work. What she got instead was some genuine advice and a refund.
According to Tallulah, the witch refused to do the spell and instead told her to research limerence and maybe even seek out some therapy. She even sent the money back that Tallulah had already paid.
An Etsy witch with morals
While some may think that the idea of paying for a witch on Etsy to cast a spell is nothing more than a scam, the fact that she didn’t just take the money and run suggests that she genuinely wanted to help. Tallulah doesn’t go into details about the guy or what she asked but it seems that whatever she said was enough to cause concern.
Commenters on TikTok also commended the witch for being so kind, “She must’ve been a pretty decent human to tell you that and refund the money when so many others take advantage,” wrote one. Another added, “understanding limerence made me get over a man that the universe got me away from for a REASON.”
For those who don’t know, limerence is described by Psychology Today as “a state of involuntary obsession with another person.” Individuals who go through it often find themselves thinking about the “limerent object” with the hopes that the other person desires them back. It can be a hard feeling to get over and can last a long time unless the individual seeks out therapy.
It seems in the long run the Etsy witch did Tallulah a huge favor in refusing her money. Sometimes people think they need magic when all they really need is therapy.
