'I was saved from a motorway bridge - here's how I turned my life around'

A war veteran who fell into a life of drink and drugs has now turned his life around.

Richard Hall's story began in Wigan where he lived on an estate and raised by his parents who were addicted to heroin. Richard said his childhood was traumatic and he saw regular violence in his home.

At just six-years-old Richard's mum died and he entered the care system where he also faced physical and mental abuse. By the age of 12, Richard had developed a life of crime and was taking drink and drugs.
