In a ploy to cheer her daughter up, Meirivone’s mother made her a rag doll named Marcelo, and Meirivone says they fell for each other.
In an interview with Need To Know online, the new bride shared how they entertained a whirlwind romance.
After a few months, the pair tied the knot in a ceremony in front of 250 people.
The newly wed declared it was love at first sight, and that her mum was behind the match made in heaven, she said: “When my mum made Marcelo and first introduced me to him, I fell in love with him. It was love at first sight.”
“It was because I didn’t have a forró dancer. I would go to these dances but wouldn’t always find a partner. Then he entered into my life, and it all made sense.” the New York Post reports.
The proud wife discussed how happy she was marrying Marcelo and having their first child, and how amazing their wedding celebrations were.
The wedding day was a wonderful and emotional celebration.
Despite the bad weather, the happy bride got the chance to walk down the aisle with the love of her life.
Meirivone said: “It was a wonderful day for me, very important, very emotional.”
“He is a man I always wanted in my life. Married life with him is wonderful.”
“He doesn’t fight with me, he doesn’t argue and he just understands me.”
“The wedding was a wonderful day for me, very important, very emotional. It rained a lot but it was wonderful.”
“From the moment I walked down the aisle to the end, it was just beautiful.”, she added.
Meirivone shared how she wanted to be a mother, and the newlywed couple spent their honeymoon in Rio De Janeiro, where she soon discovered that she was “pregnant” with Marcelo’s baby.
Speaking about her pregnancy and the doll-child’s birth, the proud mother said: “It’s true, Marcelo got me pregnant. I took the test – it was positive. I couldn’t believe it.”
The new mother was shocked to discover she was pregnant and said the birth was pain free, that Marcelinho arrived in 25 minutes.
With a doctor and nurse on site, the birth was live-streamed to 200 people, and she felt no contractions.
Meirivone continued: “I didn’t feel the contractions in pain.”
“Seeing the placenta and the umbilical cord and the blood made it all real.
“He was here in 35 minutes and he is great.”
The happy mother and wife expressed that she finds it upsetting that people say her romance and marriage are fake, and that it is real.
“It really upsets me when people say this is fake. It makes me so angry.
“I am a woman of character. My father, my mother taught me to be honest, to be a good person and not to take advantage of anything.”
