Canberra dad-of-two Mark van den Heuvel received a life-saving heart transplant just over a year ago.

In a few weeks, he'll be competing in golf at the Australian Transplant Games in Tasmania.

Mark van den Heuvel was diagnosed with a heart disease in 2016. In June 2025 he underwent surgery and now is ready to play in the Australian Transplant Games. Pictures by Keegan Carroll and supplied.
