The Midlands' biggest Poundland opened up to much fanfare earlier this month as bargain hunters visited the new store at Nottingham's Riverside Retail Park.
Sadly, despite opening up on February 12, its original title of the UK's biggest Poundland has been lost thanks to a new branch which opened in Teeside this week.
But we took a trip along to the new city branch and while its biggest store claim has been usurped, I could not believe the amount of goods on offer inside.
When I first walked into the Poundland I didn’t expect to see so many clothes - nearly a third of the store was PEP&CO clothing.
I didn’t know Poundland could offer such a nice variety of clothing, I always thought of it as a shop to get useful bits and bobs from, but not clothes.
I was pleasantly surprised by all the on-trend fashion ready for spring with a lot of bright colours, pinks, purple and green.
From £8 leather leggings, £5 jeans, £14 knitted jumpers and dresses, you could get a whole new wardrobe from one shop.
Further down from the womenswears was the kidswear and menswear, which also offered a good variety.
There were some cute denim children's outfits in kidswear and graphic tees, jumpers and joggers in the mens section of PEP&CO.
I don’t think you can go wrong with buying clothes from here. The price is so good and the clothes look really nice.
The PEP&CO home department didn’t disappoint at all.
There was a range of fake plants starting from £2, also a variety of candles and ornaments which had #trending next to it.
I just wish that the home department was a lot bigger as I love to browse at home decor.
There was also a tech section called Viido which is a new tech range by Poundland.
There was everything from gaming headphones, wireless earbuds, speakers, power banks and cables.
As I continued to walk around the store there were cosmetics on show by reality star Jessica Wright, named Jess Wright Beauty.
If you are a makeup lover like me you’d love the range they have.
False eyelashes from £1.50 which is an absolute bargain because the ones I usually get are nearly £7.
When I got to the end of the store the food section was smaller than I thought.
They had the usual food that you would expect like tins, crips and sweets and chocolates.
They also had wow deals throughout with popular frozen foods.
A wow deal that I thought was the best was a pack of 4 Magnum salted caramel or mint for £2.50, but the retail price is usually £3.
Overall I think this Poundland is so different to any other Poundland I have been in - they have almost everything you need in one shop and for a bargain, which everyone loves.
I think because the store is so big you can take your time and have a browse at everything, which is something I love to do.
Shoppers on the opening day previously told Nottinghamshire Live that 'it's great '.
