"I visited Bristol's hidden pub that hardly anyone knows is in the city centre"

Small independent bars and pubs across the city are starting to dwindle in numbers as the cost-of-living crisis continues to batter the country. But while many close their doors, others have managed to stay afloat, bringing in their regulars as well as some new faces.

Tucked away on Temple Street in Redcliffe, The Cornubia has managed to keep its doors firmly open despite being the most hidden pub in the city centre. Owners Phil and Jacki have been in the pub trade for more than 30 years and pride themselves on being one of the best Real Ale pubs in the city, especially after being runners-up in the 2022 Campaign for Real Ale Pub of the year.

They were even runners up in last year's Campaign for Real Ale pubs competition (BristolLive)
