Steve Nicol expects Liverpool to 'sort out the problems' evident from their first three Premier League games in time for when the Champions League group stage comes around.
Liverpool were drawn alongside Ajax, Napoli and Rangers in group A on Thursday. Reds great Nicol believes the group favourites are Napoli and Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp's side taking on Europa League finalists is sure to be a fiery clash and Nicol is glad that match won't be taking tomorrow, giving Liverpool time to play themselves into some form.

Nicol spoke to ESPN FC after the draw for the Champions League group stage was made as Liverpool look to go one further than last season and lift their seventh crown.
"Well yes, I’m going to assume by the time this battle (with Rangers) comes round Liverpool will at least have players back and will have sorted out the problems we have seen so far in the first three Premier League games," said Nicol.
"If the game was tomorrow I’d be a little apprehensive, I’ve got to be honest, but it’s not.
"Rangers are not at the level of the other three, I would question Ajax as well they look they’re going to get rid of another player in Antony - I don’t think they’ll be at the level they were.
"Which means it leaves Liverpool and Napoli, Napoli have started on fire scoring loads of goals, Liverpool the opposite but it’s not tomorrow."
