NEW DELHI: Marcus Stoinis, the Australia all-rounder, has signed up to play in the SA20 for Durban's Super Giants, affiliated with his IPL club Lucknow. Stoinis has clarified that he is not retiring from ODI cricket and remains hopeful of featuring in the T20 World Cup despite being left out of Australia's ODI squad for the series against West Indies.
The decision to exclude Stoinis from the ODI squad was not unexpected, as discussions with coach Andrew McDonald and selector George Bailey had been ongoing for months, even predating his absence from the playing XI in the ODI World Cup final in Ahmedabad.
