The Duchess of Cambridge got into the spirit of her new job when she joined an England rugby training session on the pitch.

Wearing a black England rugby shirt and leggings, when asked if she was ready she replied: "Absolutely. I've got my kit on."

Switching her trainers for rugby boots, Kate seemed delighted to be getting closely involved with the task after taking over a new role as patron of the Rugby Football Union (RFU).
