Joe Thwaite, 49, and Jess Thwaite, 46, from Gloucestershire have gone public today with the news that they are the couple who have won the record-breaking EuroMillions jackpot of £184 million in Tuesday's lottery drawn
Still looking fairly shell shocked Joe described the moment he received a notification that he'd won a prize in the lottery only to discover the magnitude of his win. Sitting by his side, wife Jess looked absolutely ecstatic to be hearing the story again. And you would be wouldn't you?
The whopping amount apparently makes them richer than singer Adele instantly, and they haven't had to record even a single studio album for the cash. Not a heartbreak ballad in sight.

Joe explained that upon seeing how much he had won he, "didn't know what to do. I couldn't go back to sleep, I didn't want to wake Jess up so I just laid there for what seemed like forever," he said. "I spent some time searching for property with no budget limit, which was a novelty."
When his wife's alarm went off, Mr Thwaite told her: "I've got a secret, I've got something to tell you."
The previous record for a UK lottery win was in October 2019 when a winner who remained anonymous scooped £170 million. Maybe they could borrow £20 off Jess and Joe if they need to. A reminder to check your pockets if you ever play the balls.
