On a holiday synonymous with four-leaf clovers, there’s a touch of irony in the tragic state of most St. Patrick’s Day decor. Tinny ‘gold,’ fluorescent plastic green, and novelty leprechauns hardly whisper abundance. But what is (finally) fortunate is that Terrain has intervened, delivering folklore-inspired pieces that muse on the archives of an Irish estate sale.
In the brand's new St. Patrick's Day collection, the shamrock is interpreted. Its curved leaves ripple across sculptural green-glass coupes (for those who’ve outgrown neon beer), and swirl through marbled planters. Leprechauns obviously prefer gold over silver, but here the usual metallic accent strikes a softer note – delicately threaded and etched into thoughtful details, like clover candle pins designed to dress up the tapers you already own.
These pieces may be new, but they carry a palpable non-party-store patina. Whether or not you're actually Irish is beside the point. This aesthetic luck is universal.
