I tried the new Pringles airfryer trend that's a 'level up' on nachos

Having an air fryer has really elevated my snack game, particularly for when I’m looking for a new tasty midday treat to test out. TikTok is full of simple recipes that most of the time look too good to be true.

When I saw a new trend turning Pringles into pizza, I just had to give it a try.

A video of the pizza snack hack went viral on the social media platform, with over 3.6 million views.

Food Made Simple, an account dedicated to posting easy make recipes, shared his take on the pizza Pringle, which viewers called a “level up” on nachos.

It’s really easy to make the treats, all you need is Pringles, tomato puree, cheese, and pepperoni.

First you spread a dot of tomato puree on your Pringle, before covering in cheese and pepperoni. It definitely resembles a mini pizza at this stage.

Pop them into the airfryer at 180 degrees for 3-5 minutes and they’re all done.

First impressions wise, I wasn't blown away. They smelled a bit like a cheese toastie, however visually they weren't particularly appetising.

I had hoped that they tasted better than they looked, but sadly I was wrong. There was no crunch to the crisp as I took a bite from the soggy Pringle, leaving me with a mouthful of hot cheese and tomato puree.

Whoever compared these to nachos clearly didn’t try these out before making that statement as they could not have been further from the Mexican staple.

Ultimately I think the Pringle is too thin to support the toppings, and when it was put in the air fryer, the cheese just made it even soggier.

I wouldn’t rate these or make them again, but I would encourage others to test them out to see if they could find a way to make them better.
