I tried the 4th and Reckless sell out Palais set and it made me feel very chic

When it comes to fashion there are a few things that are big priorities for me, although they apply more to clothes than shoes.

The first thing is comfort, if I'm going to be spending a full day in something I want to feel comfortable and like I can move around in it. I've tried doing pretty over practical in the past and it's just led to me adjusting my outfit all day long.

The second is that it's low maintenance. I love shirt dresses but I hate standing over an ironing board for at least ten minutes trying to get rid of that one stubborn crease that refuses to shift.

It can be tricky to find anything shirt-esque that fits this criteria, so I was thrilled to discover the Palais set at 4th and Reckless. I tried it in cream and was really impressed by how chic it was, the French name suiting it perfectly as it captures that chic French look I'm so partial too.

This set is perfect for travelling as the plisse material doesn't crease. You can mix and match items, pairing the shirt with a leather skirt for a more rugged look or going for both together for a coordinated option.

I am quite short, coming up to a whopping 150cm, so I find that trousers are often very long on me. These are long but paired with platform heels I gave the impression of having incredibly long legs.

I love this outfit and think it's perfect for when I'm spending time in a city or museum hopping, I'll be in the Palais shirt so much this autumn that I'm sure my friends will be surprised to see me in anything else.

The material is soft and lightweight, it feels great against my skin and doesn't tug easily like I sometimes find with knitted materials. It's thin so you don't have to worry about it fitting under coats, the only way I'd like it more is if there was a petite option on the pants.

I've already started looking for other colours and can completely understand why it sold out on the first day it was released. You can buy the shirt or pants for £35 each.
