We all know the key to good health is to eat your greens, but are greens also the secret to great skincare?
With ‘a nutritious blend of Broccoli, Apple, Kale and Courgette extracts’, Super Greens facial oil is packed with your five a day. I’ve always been led to believe that the best way to get the benefits of your fruits and veggies is to eat them, but I’m willing to slap them on my face if it’ll improve my skin.
I have a classic case of combination skin, with an oily t-zone, dry cheeks and general sensitivity so I was worried that adding oil to my skincare routine would just make my problems worse. Q+A claims this oil is ideal for oily, stressed, dry, normal and combination skin, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well my own skin reacted to it.

The first thing to note is the size of the product. After a week of use I barely made a dent on the 30ml bottle, so you get a good amount of oil for the price. I also love how clear the packaging is, with a ‘skincare checklist’ on the box explaining how the product helps your skin, and which skin types it's suitable for.
The oil itself is pale green in colour and feels light on the skin. It does have a slightly unpleasant, almost metallic scent but I’d rather use an oil that smells slightly weird than one that is filled with chemicals and perfume.
Whilst the oil claims to be fast-absorbing, I still felt slightly sticky a few minutes after applying and massaging it into my face. Short-term stickiness aside, it immediately gave my skin a healthy glow which I was really impressed with.
My face was a little sunburnt, but since I started using the facial oil I’ve never known my skin to heal so fast. Marks on my skin that usually take weeks to heal were gone in a few days, presumably thanks to the extra hydrating avocado oil and kalahari seed oil in this magic little bottle.
I’m too young to really put the anti-ageing claims to the test, but considering how hydrated and calm my skin has become I can imagine that using this oil for a longer period of time could easily help to keep wrinkles at bay.
It‘s not just the contents of the oil that’s green, the oil is suitable for vegans and contains cold-pressed apple seed oil which is made using waste produced by the fruit juice industry.
There's nothing I love more than products that help others and the planet, and Q+A is doing just that. Not only does this facial oil help to minimise waste, £1 from every product sale goes to Fareshare UK, helping to deliver meals to the most vulnerable families across the UK.
Overall I was really impressed with Q+A’s Super Greens facial oil. My skin is as smooth, clear and the happiest it’s ever been. Not only is it a great hydrating product, it also does some good for the planet. What more could you ask for from your skincare?
My verdict: 5/5
