'I tried cheap trick to stop condensation on windows and it worked - even in freezing temperatures'

Many people have been struggling to deal with condensation this year and have been concerned about the effect it has on their home.

Windows are the coldest surface in the house, and when the temperature drops outside, the glass will also be affected.

Condensation is formed when the warm air from your house collides with the cold windows. It can also occur when there is too much humidity in the house.

This can often be blamed on the lack of ventilation, but it is expensive to fix an issue like this.

Ignoring condensation and related issues can cause mould, mildew and water damage. These can all affect your health and can result in runny noses, sore throats and coughing. Asthma, allergies and respiratory infections are also possible.

A dehumidifier will help the problem, but these can cost anywhere from €70 to over €100.

However, according to RSVP Live, a damp trap costs just €2 and will help to ease condensation and it’s impacts. Simply purchase as many as you need, depending on the problem.

The area we chose usually has a lot of condensation in the morning, but using the trap, there was none. It worked perfectly and solved the problem within 12 hours.
