Aldi's Easter egg selection this year has been impressive. They've left no leaf unturned when it comes to choice - from plain eggs to those with a little more jazz to them, the supermarket's shelves are stocked full of chocolate goods.
I visited my local store to pick up one of their Belgian milk chocolate eggs, but got distracted by a more elaborate offering on the shelf. My eyes were caught not only by the bright blue packaging but the dramatically-decorated egg inside.
'Milk Chocolate Salty Popcorn Egg' the box read. The details revealed that the hollow half of a Belgian egg was packed inside with salty popcorn, pretzels, mini eggs and drizzled with 'blonde chocolate' - interesting.
