After the craze of air fryers over the past few months, me and my family managed to get our hands on a Ninja airfryer recently. As a sucker for both easy meals and breakfast dishes, I knew I had to make the viral airfryer breakfast meal on TikTok.
After seeing this video on TikTok, I knew I had to try this for an easy and quick breakfast. Khadija dedicates her TikTok account to posting different types of meals that are all made in an airfryer.
The air fryer breakfast meal is called ‘cheese and egg on toast’. It’s basically an easier way to make scrambled egg on toast as the air fryer does all of the work for you.
I chose to make the cheese and egg toast airfryer meal as it simply looked delicious and it has the largest amount of views out of all her recipes. At the time of publishing, the video had 5.4 million views.

This was such an easy meal to make as I already had all of the ingredients apart from grated mozzarella which was £2.75. The ingredients included: two eggs, mozzarella cheese, salt, chilli flakes, dried parsley, butter and bread. I decided to also add some paprika.
You've got to laugh, when I took the food out of the air fryer, it definitely didn’t look like the meal I saw on TikTok but it was still tasty. If I was to make it again, I would add more spices to give the meal more of a kick and to add more flavour.
The recipe literally took all of 15 minutes to make so I can’t complain. I would make this again but next time definitely toast the bread first as well as the bread was slightly soggy in the middle. One TikToker commented: “I tried it, mine didn't come out like this [laughing face emoji]” which I can definitely relate to.
Another hungry TikToker said: “Why god why it’s 12.18am and I’m watching this and now I want to get up and make it”. A third said: “I'm making this tomorrow Thanks for sharing”. While a fourth wrote: “This one recipe has made me want to buy an air fryer, definitely trying this.”
However, one smart TikToker commented: “Top tip. Toast your bread for a few mins first otherwise the middle will be soggy - trustttt”. I wish I had seen this comment before making it as I can’t deny, the middle of the bread was slightly soggy but it was still such a quick and easy breakfast meal.
Step by Step:
Crack both of your eggs in a whisking bowl with salt
Mix in your mozzarella cheese (as much or as little as you like)
Add your seasonings to the egg mixture
Make a shallow hole in the bread with a glass
Carefully butter the bread
Pop the bread in the airfryer and pour on your egg mixture
Cook for 10 minutes at 180 degrees
