It's safe to say that spring is well and truly on its way, with brighter evenings, chirping birds, and a tiny bit of sunshine.
As the weather slowly begins to pick up, so does my wardrobe, and I move away from my usual dull, gothic colour palette to a vibrant array of outfits. For me, nothing says spring-time like a floral midi dress, and I think I've found the perfect one.
I've been such a big fan of Nobody's Child for a few years now, and find myself constantly drawn to its unique patterns and vibrant floral aesthetic. For me, Nobody's Child dresses are incredibly versatile, and can be dressed up or down very easily.

I took a trip to M&S on Church Street and was surprised to see a whole section dedicated to Nobody's Child. I had absolutely no idea that M&S stocked its products in store, and I was very happy to say the least.
There was a variety of bold, colourful and beautiful dresses on every hanger, but one did really stand out to me - the Floral Round Neck Midi Tea Dress. Even better, it's currently down to £36.75 instead of £49.
On the M&S website, the full product description reads: "Make a statement in flourishing florals with this Nobody's Child tea dress. Cut to a regular fit with a classic round neck, the silhouette softly skims the waist before falling to a midi-length tiered hem. The three-quarter sleeves feature frilled cuffs for an extra romantic element. Nobody's Child designs are cut to a form-fitting shape, so if you're looking for a more relaxed fit, we recommend choosing the next size up."
Now, being a reasonably curvy size 12 woman, I'm often a little dubious when it comes to sizing. Midi dresses can either look super flattering on me, or cling to my hips and make me feel uncomfortable.
I tried this dress on, in all honesty, with very little hope, but I wound up being surprised by my reflection in the mirror. The dress on, and on the hanger, was a thing of beauty.
It had a real pop of colour, and looked great with my big black chunky boots. The good thing about this versatile dress is that it could also be worn with trainers, or even heels if you want to spruce up an outfit.
I absolutely loved the sleeve detailing, and the dress hung beautifully against my petite 5'3 frame. I've been drowned in midi dresses so many times, so this Nobody's Child piece was an absolute blessing.
It didn't cling to my tummy, and flattered my shape really nicely. As soon as I slipped into this dress, I felt happy and, most of all, confident - which is sometimes a rarity in the changing rooms for me.
I'm planning on wearing this dress a lot during the spring and summer seasons, and think it will look great with a denim jacket. I also think it's a great addition for my work wardrobe, because I love nothing more than an effortless yet pretty dress.
It's currently available in sizes 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 on the M&S website. Purchase the dress for £36.75 here.
