I tried a pair of £22 Primark cargos and was pleasantly surprised

As a lover of cargo pants, I went to Primark recently to try on a pair of their newly released black cargo pants.

Everybody loves a bargain, and Primark especially is known for its affordable prices and their own versions from expensive brands. I visited Liverpool’s Primark to try and get my hands on a pair of cargos.

If you haven’t noticed, cargo pants are coming back in style. This shouldn’t come as a surprise due to the popular return of the late 90s and 2000s fashion. And the Y2K fashion trend doesn’t seem to be slowing down.

Cargo pants are known for their comfort, providing utility and convenience with their undistracting design, which includes two large pockets on the sides of the thighs. I love styling cargo pants with high top trainers but they can also be worn with heels to dress up the overall look.

The Primark product description read: “Sometimes we need a little versatility in our wardrobe, and these trousers certainly deliver that. Featuring a relaxed fit, drawstring waistband, two deep pockets for easy storage and adjustable ankle cuffs, you can tailor the fit to exactly how you want to wear it day to day, be it straight leg or something a little more fitted.”

The cargos:

After carefully skimming around Primark to find the ones I wanted to try on, I found what seemed the perfect pair off the hanger. Luckily they had my size in stock too.

They had the same style of parachute cargo pants in both black and white but I opted to try on the black pair as myself and the colour white is not a good combination. The cargo pants actually fitted me perfectly.

Cargo pants are meant to be oversized but as I am only 5 ft 1, I was worried they would absolutely bury me. I must add, the other pairs of cargo pants that I already have are a lot baggier which I do prefer.

I popped on my chunky Converse that I had on and I loved the two of these items together. My only criticism would be that the fabric of the cargo pants were not as soft as other pairs I have.

The material felt almost waterproof but nonetheless, they were still comfy and lightweight. The Parachute Cargo Trousers are priced at £22 at Primark which is a lot cheaper in comparison to other fashion retailers.
