I tried a coffee that claims to boost stamina without jitters and was blown away

If you asked any of my friends what I'm like, I'm quite sure sleepy would be at the tip of their tongues. I've been known to partake in a lunchtime nap, a nap immediately after I finish work and a cheeky 30 minutes before heading out to an evening event.

Even with a cup of coffee in the morning I tend to be really quite sleepy, with it not being unusual for me to go to bed and get a solid 12 hours sleep if I've particularly tuckered myself out.

After trying, and being impressed by London Nootropic's Flow coffee, I decided to see if Mojo could live up to the hype.

The brand has three coffees in their collection and they're all adaptogenic blends. This means that they use special ingredients known as adaptogens to balance physical and mental stressors in our mind & body. Sometimes these ingredients are mushrooms which might sound unusual but they're said to offset side-effects such as jitters, anxiety and a crash which is something I'm always interested in.

Mojo uses Cordyceps which has been historically linked to China. It's said to support energy and stamina; increase oxygen flow to muscles, aerobic capacity & reduce fatigue. As someone who is constantly fatigued and has asthma, I was curious to see if it worked.

Making the drink is easy, I paired it with hot oat milk and found it had a really bitter taste. This was easily rectified with a little caramel syrup and I enjoy it as I would any cup of coffee.

There are three different blends in the range (London Nootropics)

The results were fast, with me feeling much more alert quite quickly. I felt like I was taking deeper breaths and my body felt stronger which surprised me a little. I could definitely see this being a great option on days where you're going to work out.

Even working from home, I felt like I was typing faster than I usually would which I attributed to the coffee and normally I would have jitters with this kind of energy boost but I didn't feel any at all.

I didn't feel the need to take my usual lunchtime nap or need my 5pm nap either which was quite the feat. I think I'll actively try to include Cordyceps in my routine going forward as I really enjoyed how energised I felt and how easily I could breathe.
