Update 3/12: Xreal has put the Neo hub on hold 'indefinitely' before launching it. Anyone who pre-ordered will be refunded, and I've already tested the next best alternative. Spoiler alert: it comes from the last company you'd expect given a current legal fight between them. With that in mind, I've removed most mentions of the Neo and retested with the alternative dock in mind — it hasn't changed my opinion on the glasses.
Xreal 1S has just been announced for CES 2026, and I’ve been testing them for the past month. In short, say hello to the new best AR glasses you can buy — packing small but significant upgrades over Xreal One (with a lower price of $449 to boot), a better build quality than the Viture Luma Pros, and a new software feature driven by that onboard X1 chip that is actually quite the breakthrough.
