If you love hot chocolate, there’s never a wrong time for a seriously indulgent cup. Thanks to dedicated hot chocolate machines, it’s easier than ever to make a luxuriously smooth, café-style drink at home. Leading the way is the gadget that started the craze: the Hotel Chocolat velvetiser, a favourite among true chocolate fans.

Luckily, more budget-friendly alternatives are now available , and one that stands out is Salter’s chocolatier electric hot chocolate maker, priced at a much more approachable £35.
