As someone who tests products for a living, Prime Day is one of my favourite shopping events. The timing couldn't be better, whether you're upgrading your garden for the holiday season ahead or finally buying the kitchen gadget that's been sitting in your basket for weeks, now is your best chance of finding a seriously good saving.
After years of reviewing home appliances, I've learned to spot the difference between a modest discount and a genuinely worthwhile deal. I've tested everything from ice cream makers and Ninja air fryers to some of the best coffee machines of all time so I know which products earn a permanent place on the worktop.
Unfortunately, my kitchen isn't big enough to keep every appliance I review, so the products below are the exceptions. These are the standout buys I've held onto after testing and still use almost every day. And they're all in the Amazon Prime Day sale.
My three favourite kitchen appliances

A stand-out success, the Crispi Pro is one of the best air fryers on the market. It's non-toxic, easy to store, and you can watch your food as it cooks.

With ten functions spanning from sorbet and ice cream to frozen yogurt and slushies, this is a heatwave hero. It's also great if you want to put a healthier, more customised spin on your deserts.

Toasters are not all made equally, as the Cuisinart proves. With different shade settings and toasting options, you'll get the perfect golden colour, or whatever level of toastiness you're after.
1. My glass Ninja air fryer
Included with this air fryer are 2 cooking chambers, one large and the other small, while both are made from glass and are totally dishwasher-safe for convenience. The air fryer itself offers 5 cooking modes, plus you can choose from 3 colours, including white. You can tuck it in the corner of your worktop and use it for pretty much anything, as it cooks food incredibly fast and efficiently.
Truly, this is the most convenient air fryer I've ever tested. It's so easy to keep clean, and I love that it's a non-toxic air fryer, so it gives me peace of mind, especially while cooking for my toddler, as I tend to use it at least twice, sometimes even 3 times, a day.
You can find out more about the Ninja Crispi Pro in our dedicated review.
2. My touchscreen toaster
Ridiculously easy to use and better yet: super efficient, this toaster has it all. It's tiny, so great for smaller kitchens, while it can toast 2 pieces of bread at the same time. Its extra-wide slots mean you can also use it for bagels and chunky sourdough, and if you only need one slice toasted, you can disable the left slots so that you needn't waste electricity.
Choose from 5 settings, including bread, bagel, sourdough, English muffin and fruit. Along with 6 shade levels, a defrost setting is available.
3. My sought-after Ninja ice cream maker
While the air fryer and toaster are both very useful, I like to think that this one puts more emphasis on the "fun" part of functional. The Ninja Creami will also make your life much easier come summer, because it's an ice cream maker that needs only a few basic ingredients to make a special dessert.
It's intuitive, it churns ice cream in only 2 minutes, and it comes with 2 tubs so that you can always have one ready to eat and another in your freezer. Yes, it requires a little prep 24 hours in advance, but once you nail that, the world is literally your oyster as it offers 10 programmes, including frappe, sorbet, milkshake and even slushie.
Mine gets used twice a week and sits in pride of place on my worktop. It's super easy to clean, too, since it has dishwasher-safe parts.
It can be tempting to fill your kitchen with gadgets and gizmos. Nobody knows that better than me. However, as you interact with more appliances, you realise that what you actually need are models that work hard, excelling at one job, or covering multiple ones easily. These three do both – and I don't know what I'd do without them now, so if there's ever a time to take advantage of a sale, it's now.
