But one woman on TikTok was determined to look her best when her baby arrived and even convinced herself she wasn't having contractions so that she could finish braiding her hair before going to the hospital.
Secora Hawks, who is from the US, posted a video in which she remained perfectly calm and collected while trying to style her hair ready for her baby's arrival, even though she admitted she was in "the worst pain".
