I ‘stole’ Fearne Cotton’s style with this beaut Nobody’s Child dress for Autumn

When I chat to Manchester shoppers about their outfits for our weekly Steal Their Style feature, I always ask if there are any celebrities who they’re inspired by, or if given the opportunity, would raid their wardrobe. And if someone were to ask me that very same question, the answer would for sure be presenter and podcaster Fearne Cotton.

With Fearne starting her presenting career in 1996 - just one year before I was born - I feel like I’ve grown up with her on the TV all my life, and have always enjoyed her work and sense of style. Now, with the Nobody’s Child x Happy Place collection, I really do feel like I can raid Fearne’s wardrobe and quite literally ‘steal her style’.

The author’s latest collection with the brand went live earlier this month, and has already proven popular with shoppers, with some styles almost completely sold out already.

One piece from the collection that shoppers are loving is the Peggy cord mini dress. The brand shared a photo of Fearne Cotton wearing the hot pink number with their 245,000 followers, and fans were quick to share their excitement about it, with one person saying: "Omg it’s amazing!!!" Another added: "Love this and the colour".

A third wrote: "Absolutely gorgeous", while someone else added: "Adore the colour!! Amazing."

It’s safe to say that I had the exact same reaction and knew it was the perfect dress to inject a bit of colour into my typically neutral Autumn wardrobe, but still stick with the seasonal theme with the corduroy fabric.

The £65 dress of dreams features a round neck, long puff sleeves with fluted cuffs and a concealed zip fastening to the rear. I absolutely love the shape of it and how the fabric, while structured and high quality, has a bit of stretch to it for a more comfortable wear.

Nobody’s Child recommends wearing the season’s hottest mini dress with ‘tough girl boots’ for daytime dressing, so I opted for a mock croc knee high boot which I bought in a vintage shop in Nantwich for £15, with a platform the Spice Girls would be proud of. And since it was ‘hair wash day’, I opted for a black faux leather beret, which I think will be a key accessory throughout the colder months for my wardrobe - it literally goes with everything.

The bold mini dress is made entirely from BCI cotton, so not only is it extremely chic and stylish, it’s also sustainable, too. Ideal for transitioning from summer to autumn, the Peggy dress can be dressed up or down with ease, and would look equally as glam with a pair of white trainers and crossbody bag.

Totally effortless, the Fearne-approved Peggy dress is a sure fire way to look and feel fab and vibrant for some mood-boosting dopamine-dressing this season. You can purchase the Fearne Cotton Cord Peggy Mini Dress for £65 at nobodychild.com, and bag 15 per cent off when you sign up to their newsletter, too. The dress is also available in black, for those who prefer a more toned-down monochrome look.
