I Really Loved The End Of Oak Street, But I Wish It Wasn't Set In The '80s. Here's Why

Anne Hathaway looking scared in The End of Oak Street.

I recently watched The End of Oak Street with my kids, and I'm already certain that it's going to be a cult classic. It's got blockbuster qualities (it's a dinosaur movie that's NOT like Jurassic Park), but it's also surprisingly weird and gruesome for a PG-13 film.

I love pretty much everything about it…except for the time period, that is, as the film takes place in 1982. Now, it's not like I hate the ‘80s (as a ‘90s kid, I was born in the era, so I grew up loving cartoons like G.I. Joe and Thundercats).
