'I realised my husband was cheating on me when I read his mistress' love letter'

A woman has shared the shocking way she discovered her husband was cheating on her with a woman he met on Tinder while she was heavily pregnant. Daniella Asher, 31, was expecting a baby with her partner of three years when she opened a sweet handwritten love letter - only to discover it wasn't from him, but his mistress.

Heartbroken Daniella decided to fly home from America to Sweden at 36-weeks pregnant so she could give birth with her family beside her, instead of her husband - who at the time was away travelling with the other lady. Daniella explained: "Three weeks before I was meant to give birth, I opened a letter that had come from the mistress.

"I found out that my loving husband had been having a several month long affair.

"He was in Amsterdam at the time and the letter had come from Amsterdam, I though it was a love letter from him.

"I'm guessing she didn't know it was going to come before he was home. I sent him a picture of the letter I said 'you are the biggest cliché'.

"He didn't even try to call me as he was with her and didn't want to blow the cover. It took him three days to come home and we had barely spoken.

"By the time he had got back I was already on my way back to Sweden, he couldn't believe I had left.

"I didn't want to be home when he got home. I felt like I was in a movie."

Daniella's husband tried to apologise and work things out - even attending couple's counselling - but he continued to keep his Tinder mistress on the side.

"He asked if he could date both of us and I said definitely not. If he want to be with her he can, but he won't also be with me," Daniella said.

She recalled the relationship starting off like a "magical and amazing" love story, as the pair quickly got married and fell pregnant.

"We met through a dating app when he was travelling through Sweden and it was love at first sight," she explained.

"I should have had a feeling, but I didn't, I'm not a jealous person and I would let him travel.

"He would be gone for two weeks at a time and I would never suspected anything but he has a pattern. I knew he cheated before in previous relationships.

"He has five kids with three different mums, and I'm number three so I should have suspected something."

Daniella found her pregnancy lonely and struggled with bad sickness, meanwhile her husband started an affair when she was six-months pregnant.

"I got in touch with the woman a week after I gave birth and told her he had a wife and a newborn baby, I'm not sure if she had a feeling he was with someone or if she was just clueless but she didn't seem too surprised," Daniella said.

"They they are still together though and she also has kids. If this was me, I would have been so surprised so it was strange that she wasn't.

"I also think the way the letter was written was too much in your face, like she was trying to tell me she was with him.

"It was a typical love letter saying how happy she was to have met him, how much she loves him and also photos of them together.

"It's just low to me how a woman knowing the whole thing wold want to stick around still – he's ultimately cheated on her as well."

Daniella is now a full-time single mum and ready to get back on the dating scene, though it's difficult with newborn son Brooklyn.

"Some days don't feel good when you don't have that family you planned for, but when you become a mum you're forced to be strong, I didn't know I had this strength in me," she said.

Daniella has opened up on TikTok and started a community where other women can share their relationship stories without fear of judgement.

Daniella's husband commented: "I cheated and she found a handwritten note. That's true. Cheating may be one aspect of a relationship.

"There's also the majority of time where one person can be a great partner and treat the other wonderfully. So often people need to hold their judgement when they don’t have any idea about what the relationship was like."
