For me, Easter is all about eating an abundance of chocolate eggs and hot cross buns - but not this year.
Okay, maybe I'm lying a bit, because I'll most likely still be eating a lot of chocolate this year, but I've also got my hands on a different kind of Easter egg this time round. I've heard so much about the LOOKFANTASTIC 'Beauty Egg' and it's finally back, so I'm here to tell you if it's worth it.
The limited edition beauty egg has been a thing for around six years now, and proves popular every single time. This year, the egg features some pretty well known luxury brands including ELEMIS, Sol De Janeiro and Color Wow, so I was very excited to open it up.

For those of you that don't want any spoilers, I'd look away now, because I'm going to tell you exactly what you get in the LOOKFANTASTIC 'Beauty Easter Egg'.
What's included in the LOOKFANTASTIC Beauty Egg?
There are plenty of goodies in the egg that are influencer approved, these include:
- Color Wow Speed Dry 150ml (Full Size) - worth £21.50
- Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum Cream 75ml (Full Size) - £20.00
- MZ Skin Hydra Lift Gold Mask (Full Size) - worth £20.00
- Elemis Superfood Glow Priming Moisturiser 60ml (Full Size) – worth £44.00
- Sweed Mascara 8ml (Full Size) - worth £22.00
- Dr Jart Ceramidin Cream 10ml - worth £6.40
- Nudestix Mini Magnetic Luminous Eye Colour in shade ‘Dew Wap’ 2.5g - worth £21.41
Is it worth it?
It's clear to see that LOOKFANTASTIC has hit the nail on the head in terms of viral brands, and is offering shoppers an array of different 'trending' products for a fraction of the price. What I really like about the Beauty Egg is the fact that it doesn't skimp on full size products, because there's nothing more irritating than tiny little bottles of product that get used up in a day.
As impressed as I was with the M&S Beauty Advent Calendar, I found that there were way too mini products for my liking. This LOOKFANTASTIC Beauty Egg gives shoppers four full size items, which I think is pretty good for £60 in comparison.
However, after adding up the prices on the LOOKFANTASTIC website, the total savings actually comes to £155 instead of £200, which is quite a significant difference. This makes the promotion a tad misleading, but I do still think the savings as a whole are pretty impressive.
I love that the Beauty Egg gives shoppers the opportunity to try out something new, and in a full size too. I personally, have never tried the posh MZ Skin Hydra Lift Gold Mask which is apparently infused with actual gold, so I'm a big fan of the Beauty Egg for giving me the chance to do that.
I'd go as far as to say that I was pretty wowed by the gold face mask after giving it a Google and realising that it's worth £20-£25 for one single mask. I'll definitely be opening that on a pamper night soon.
The verdict
I wasn't entirely sure what to expect with the LOOKFANTASTIC Beauty Egg but I actually ended up being really impressed. I was conscious that I'd open the egg and be given an array of mini products, or given samples of products that I'd never heard of.
Granted, I hadn't heard of every single product in the Beauty Egg, but after checking out viral products on TikTok, LOOKFANTASTIC has definitely ticked the 'trending' boxes. Of course, £60 for an Easter treat is a little on the pricey side, but if you're wanting to try out some new products for a cheaper price, this would be the way to do it.
