'I'm not changing' - Leeds United's Jesse Marsch defiant despite 'prejudice' he feels he faces

Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch has insisted he will continue to manage his way despite the ‘prejudice’ he feels he receives from the English media. Marsch arrived at Elland Road in February and helped keep the Whites in the division with a final day victory at Brentford on Sunday.

He became just the third ever American to manage in the Premier League upon his appointment at Leeds, following in the footsteps of David Wagner and Bob Bradley. Throughout his brief time at the club so far Marsch has consistently exuded a feeling of positivity, which has occasionally drawn criticism.

Some sections of the media questioned his decision to form a huddle on the pitch following the defeat at Leicester City in his first game in charge, while his reaction and comments after the 4-0 loss to Manchester City also split opinion. But speaking to Charlie Stilitano and Neil Barnett on American broadcaster SiriusXMFC’s The Football Show, Marsch claims that while those critics will not impact how he does things moving forward, he does feel as if he is judged more harshly due to the fact he is American.
