A viral TikTok video showing a woman trying to check her car’s radiator fluid has become a warning about the dangers of fixing cars yourself. The video, posted by Georgia Lear on TikTok, has gotten over 66.3 million views and shows what can happen when someone opens a radiator cap on a hot engine.
In the video, set to No Doubt’s song Just a Girl, a woman walks up to a car with its hood open. She pulls back as she turns the radiator cap, probably because the metal feels hot. When she finally gets the cap off, the system explodes. Hot liquid shoots up and out, hitting not just the woman but also the person filming, who runs away from the scene. Lear wrote “We’re just girls” on the video and later added “That was boiling water bro.”
