Brice Samba earned the plaudits for a man-of-the-match display for Lens at Nantes at the weekend. However, one former Nottingham Forest team-mate wasn’t quite so gushing with his praise as he shared a joke with the Congolese keeper.
Samba faced 10 shots in the goalless draw and according to Ligue1.com, Lens’ point “was thanks in no small part to the Congolese”.
The 28-year-old “pulled off a brilliant stop” to deny Ludovic Blas while his contribution “simply shouldn't be overlooked”.

Samba took to Instagram to post a video clip of a particularly deft piece of footwork as he flicked the ball over the onrushing Nantes captain Blas to play his way out of danger.
It was another example of the risk-taking for which Samba is renowned, with the commentator describing it as “playing with fire in his own six-yard area”.
Ex Nottingham Forest team-mate Lyle Taylor was much more to the point, however, replying to Samba’s post by saying: “I’m done with your s**t already.” The post was accompanied by several laughing and crying emojis and obviously didn’t offend Samba too much, with the former Forest keeper responding by liking it.
