May has begun and I'm here to bring you a roundup of the most exciting upcoming RPGs for 2026 (and beyond).

But if you're read to explore what's ahead, join me as I take you through the biggest upcoming RPGs for 2026 (and beyond).

The Relic: First Guardian is an upcoming Action-RPG that is heavy on the dark fantasy vibes. Basically, the once-prosperous world of Arsiltus is now in ruins, and it's up to your character to save the day by finding lost relics. Combat looks to be on the tougher side with souls-like mechanics, and 70 bosses to take down. As you collect relics, your character will get benefits, and you'll have to employ some strategic thinking as you collect, equip and use them as you progress. I particularly love the look of this game, which, despite the grim apocalyptic vibe, looks absolutely gorgeous.

The game looks to have a ton of customization and seems to offer a ton of freedom as you can dungeon dive, explore, hunt for treasure, and complete quests. It's also a great title for fans of real-time combat mechanics. Echoes of Aincrad does seem to be offering a lot but considering how pre-orders are live, it looks like it will live up to its promises as well.
