'I'm a traveller and I'm sick of the lazy stereotype - my day is as busy as yours'

A young woman who describes herself as a "gypsy girl" has hit back at nasty stereotypes surrounding the travelling community.

Adele Hartley wants to dispel the myths that travellers are workshy by instead showing people a glimpse into her daily routine - which is far from lazy.

Posting on her TikTok account @adelehartley_, she captions the video "What people think gypsy girls do every day" showing a photo of a young woman watching television with a fizzy drink in one hand and a bowl of crisps on her lap.
